This Holton 178 – is a full double F/Bb horn. It is the medium bell taper, yellow brass, fixed bell version of the Farkas model horns that have long been the main horn models made by Holton.
This particular instrument is in very good condition. With a full tone and well balanced through out the range, this model of horn is perfect for students from grade 6 onwards (including music degree), or those who play purely for fun – these horns are more than capable of providing what is needed in orchestral playing to a very high level – many versions of the Farkas model horns are used in the music profession.
This horn comes with the original fixed bell Holton case.
