Paxman 40 (M, marked as L)

Description

This Paxman model 40 descant horn (Bb/high f)  is a yellow and gold brass horn. It is marked as a large bore however we believe the gold brass replacement spout section is a medium taper. The horn also has a lacquered, gold brass flare – giving it a slightly warmer sound than a yellow brass version of the same model.

As a pre-1985 descant (built in 1982) it follows the original model 40 design and comes with an F basso/stopping extension. This instrument has been played professionally in its lifetime – so you can rest assured that all the notes have been put in for you! It comes with a fixed bell Yamaha case.
