Description

This is a 1966 Paxman descant. This is built to a design that precedes the model that became known as the 40 – very interesting to horn design/history anoraks (geeks) like ourselves.

This horn has an old-style large bell taper (larger than the later Paxman L taper). It is an unlacquered, yellow brass instruments with an older type left-hand support (duck’s foot) and a fixed bell. We are guessing this horn must have been well loved as it has a couple of patches and has had the valves plated, both of which have given this horn a new lease of life.

It comes with a fixed bell, fiberglass case.
