This is a Hoyer Bb single with 5 valves.
The 2 extra valves allow for handstopping without transposing (or playing in E without transposing – though the Establishment may not approve of this!) and F basso open harmonics.
It is a lightweight instrument more suited to a high player than a low register specialist but will supply plenty of fun. Perfect for quintet work.
