Clock sprung single F
Maker Chicago
Out of stock
Description
This single F horn was made by Wunderlich in Chicago between 1891 and 1916. Engraved “R. Wunderlich Maker Chicago”
Notably Carl Geyer worked at Wunderlich from 1904-16 so there is a good chance that he had a hand in making this horn, it is very much a part of the early history of American horn making. He then went on to forge his own reputation as one of Americas foremost horn makers of the early 20th Century
Valve compression is low, but the horn is still playable. It has a large bell size. Valves are clockspring design with a very pretty, small mechanism. This horn is being sold as is without servicing.
The bell spout section has has had some major repair at some point in the horns history.
