Description
This is Conn’s modern take on their vintage 8D and dates from the early 2000s.
This was built to a more expensive spec than the standard 8D. Still with the classic nickel silver and large bell taper, this horn has been upgraded to screw bell and has had a custom leadpipe fitted to suit the current owner. Condition is good. The lacquer is a little patchy but mechanics are good.
All the notes should have been put in already (!) as it has been played extensively in professional recordings and concerts with orchestra such as the RLPO, BBCPO and the London Symphony Orchestra.
It’s a horn with a big bore and a big sound – If that is what you are looking for then it will be perfect!
It comes with a backpack case.
