Description
This Conn 8D was new only about 3 years ago. Ithas had professional use for a few years and plays with the characteristics that one would expect from a Conn 8D – a very big sound which can get very loud before it breaks up, and with a very dark rich sound. Extra large bore for the right hand.
The horn has been customised with a non-Conn American custom leadpipe which is unlacquered. The body of the horn is in excellent condition with very little lacquer wear
The flare has taken some serious damage at some point which has been repaired, but this is still evident mainly round ther rim of the bell. Since the repair the damage is more cosmetic than structural but is helping to keep the price for a 2 year old horn lower than it would otherwise be.
Careful not to dismiss this horn on appearance – it does play very nicely.
