A bargain screw bell instrument
Holton 178s of this vintage rarely come on to the market in this country. This is an early medium bore Holton with the Holton name engraved name on the bell.
It is lacquered yellow brass and has been converted to screw bell some time ago.
Some lacquer left – though not a lot!
The valves have been masterfully plated in the past and remain in excellent condition with good compression. This is a really lovely instrument ready for its next owner to take care of it. It comes with a fixed bell fibreglass case.
