Description

This Paxman model 20 was made around 2010. It has Europa bell taper – meaning it sits between the medium and large tapers in size – thus giving it a slightly more free-blowing feel than a medium horn.

It is a yellow brass, screw bell horn with lacquer. Valve pressures a really good as the horn is not too old, and the general look of the horn is a shiny, lacquered instrument. However, in some areas there are some patches of redrot (dezincification) and some damage to the lacquer. As such, this instrument is being sold at a price that takes this into consideration. As far as we know, the brass will still be fine for a long time to come and parts can be replaced should it ever become a problem in the future – so apart from the asthetics, this is a lovely instrument with many years of performing ahead.

This instrument comes with a black Eastman “Darth Vader” screw bell case.
