Description
This is a superb Paxman model 25 full double. In large bore, fixed bell, gold brass and lacquered this is in exceptionally good condition.
It has titanium valves with lots of compression and these make the horn lightweight to hold. It dates from about 2003 when Paxman were making the horns in-house and has a UK made bell. It is from a very nice period of manufacture.
It may be light to hold but the sound it makes is anything but – the large bore and the gold brass make for a resonant rich horn that especially down low is beefy and powerful. We really like this horn!
