Description
In 1985 Paxman reworked their most popular models significantly. Dating from 1986 this is one of the first examples of the new layout which was snapped up by its current owner immediately after it was built and has not left his possession ever since! It has appeared in principal horn roles with many London orchestras over the years.
Made when Paxman levels of craftsmanship were very high this is well worth a try!
It is medium bore, gold brass, fixed bell, unlacquered and makes a nice rich sound. There are a few areas that will eventually need patching in the bell, but this is not necessary yet. Valve compression is good.
Left hand position has been adjusted to suit a smallish hand – this can of course be undone if necessary!
Comes with hard case.
