Description
This is a piece of history – a PAxman single Bb made by “Paxman Bros” when they had a shop in Gerrard street. We think it dates to the late 1950s.
With 5 valves it is in Bb with stopping valve and F extension for the open F notes. It has a wonderful F extension slide that is like an enormous sweeping curvy slide – all very aesthetic to look at.
It has a bore somewhere a little bigger than M and plays in a fairly large style
It comes with a mock crocodile case (at that time Paxman were influenced by the style of their famous older competitior Alexander)
