This is a fabulous full triple made by Schmid. Bb/F/Eb alto
Schmid makes light horns – so this full triple is lighter than other makers compensating triples!
Yellow brass, screw bell, lacquered and in a high quality cardocase backpack case. In fantastic condition cosmetically and of course freshly serviced. The Eb alto balances the high side to the Bb horn more than an F alto does. The fingerings are not hard (almost identical) so don’t let that deter you.
Sold with 2 flares that both fit in the case.
1: Sterling silver, medium bore, no garland, lacquered – gives the horn a rich dark sound and balances out its naturally bright overtones. These flares are about £3000 alone at the moment.
2: Gold brass, medium bore, no garland, lacquered – also darkens the sound like the sterling silver but to a lesser degree.
