Schmid Full Triple

This is quite a horn in exceptional condition. We very rarely see triples as good as this one!

Schmid full triple, Bb/F/Eb alto, yellow brass, screw bell, lacquered with Bonna MB5 case.

Flare is M Hand Hammered with engraved garland and only a couple of years old

Fabulously light for a triple and with a very, very secure top octave on the Eb alto horn. Lively in sound and medium bore. There is really everything to like about this one.

The horn is about 10 years old, but has been played by a very lucky individual who had two triple horns and has therefore only been used for half of that time. In terms of wear in the valves it has seen very light use and has always been serviced by us whenever needed. The lacquer has a couple of very small marks but is not far off new condition.

This horn would cost £18500 if you were to buy it new at today’s price, so although still expensive it represents a substantial saving on new!
