Description

This is a 668D mark 1 which means it is a large bore – though Yamaha large is not very large at all – think Medium Large really. Yamaha make instruments with a high degree of mechanical precision and their valves are impeccable so this will be a reliable friend.

It has an independent Bb and F tuning slides which the mark 2 does not have and plays with a nice direct and powerfull sound without too much brightness.

These instruments are always in high demand for grade 5-8 level students progressing onto their first full double, or for adults wanting a quality instrument in the sub 3K area.

The lacquer on this horn is in excellent shape and it is generally a very smart instrument still that has loads of life left.
