Description
The Holton 178 is the medium bell taper, yellow brass model of Kruspe-wrap full double horn that has been popular for so many years. This instrument has lost much of the lacquer on the bell flare over its life but this aesthetic aspect shouldn’t put off those looking for a full double that plays well.
It would be worth noting a certain amount of de-zincification on the mouthpipe. If this ever becomes a problem it would be easy to change the mouthpipe or patch any tiny holes that might appear. in our experience horns usually go for a good many years without it being a problem.
This instrument comes with the original Holton fixed bell case.
