Description
This is a rare horn that we almost never see second hand. It is a Cor Solo from Engelbert Schmid with optional valves.
The horn can be played as a natural horn in any key from High Bb – low Bb or as a lightweight rotary single Bb, F, or Eb. It could be perfect for someone wanting one horn to cover quite a few bases!
It comes with:
– crooks in B-flat, G, F, E, E-flat, D and a coupler to enable the other pitches from Bb alto down to Bb basso.
– a removable valve section with valve slides for B-flat, F and E-flat (very useful for a darker sound as preferred by Mozart, etc)
– a case in which most of the above fit
This beautiful horn dates from 2019 and is in excellent condition. It is in raw brass with a garland on the bell and the inside of the bell is a “smoked” finish.
All in all a lot of instrument for the price!
