Paxman Series 2

Description

This is a yellow brass, fixed bell horn in fair condition – it has lost quite a lot of its lacquer. This is the perfect type of instrument for taking a student through to music college or for anyone playing for fun – a solid full-double and a step up from a regular intermediate horn – when these horns were being produced it was well-known that the Series 2 horns blurred the boundary between student and professional models of horn. This particular one plays very nicely, with a full tone throughout the range and is built to the later series 2/model 20 design, most likely dating from the early 1980s.

The horn comes with the original fibre glass fixed-bell case.
