The H279 one of Holton’s successful Farkas model horns. The large taper is designed to create a dark, rich tone with the nickel giving the horn an immediate response.
This particular example is in very good condition with only very minor scuffs in evidence. It is a silver plated instrument rather than lacquered so even darker in sound
This is a good solid instrument to own and play, whether you are playing the solo or beefing out the bottom notes!!
