Description
The Paxman Academy horn has been in production for the past 17 years and as their website states, this “full double horn has quickly established itself as one of the most popular choices at this level”. The Academy double model is very light for a full double and does play very well. Materially not quite as robust as some other intermediate horns, a careful owner will be rewarded with some fine playing that this instrument affords.
This horn has been well care for, however it has got some pink spots of de-zincifiation on the bell flare area. This is reflected in the excellent price of the instrument and does not affect its playing capabilities.
These horns are perfect as a first double – whether for a child or adult.
This horn comes in the original fixed bell case.
