Description
This Paxman model 31 is a compensating double horn with a stopping (A+) valve. This horn was built in 1967 and in excellent condition, having been re-lacquered and acquiring a new medium fixed bell a few years ago – although one of the tuning slides is unlacquered. It is a yellow brass horn, very light with a duck’s foot/flipper, good valve compression and a lovely sound. Being big fans of Paxman comps, we were tempted to keep this one for ourselves! It comes with a handy bags case.
