Description
This is a Hawkes & Son Superior Class A instrument from the early 20th century. It has been converted to natural horn, having had the pistons removed some time ago. It comes with 5 crooks 2 couplers and some tuning slide leg extensions. We have been told by the owner that these will help achieve the keys of Bb, A, Ab, G, F, E, Eb, D, C at A=440 and A=430 (with extensions and slide fully pulled).
This horn provides an inexpensive entry into hand horn playing while also owning a piece of British instrument history. Lots of fun to be had and some great introductory courses out there to help too!
This instrument comes with a Paxman fiberglass fixed bell case.
