Description
What a beautiful instrument this is.
Hand-built by Paxman in 1976 this professional level compensator is a lovely lightweight horn to hold. It does not make too light a sound though because it’s has the richness that gold brass adds to a horn. It blows very freely indeed.
Unlacquered, medium bore, screw bell.
It has a stopping valve to allow for handstopping without transposition. This can alos be used as a cheat to allow one to play in E without transposing. (We would of course never condone such a practice!)
This horn is rewarding to play. With good valve pressures and overall in excellent condition.
The valve caps pictured have been replaced with modern style Paxman caps.
It comes with a very new backpack case.
