Description

The Paxman model 80 is a compensating triple F/Bb/F Alto. This lacquered, yellow brass instrument has a medium bell taper and a fixed bell.

This horn, which was built in 1985 while Paxman were at the peak of their powers is in excellent working order and has spent the last 35 years playing in a professional Danish orchestra. Much of that time in the cupboard and unplayed. Valve compression is good. There is a fair amount of lacquer wear as would be expected but no evidence of any dent damage in the past.

Best played set in Bb it has all the benefits of a compensating double horn with an F alto added on and still weights under 3kg.

It comes with its original Paxman hard case
