Raoux Millereau Natural Horn
Webb coupler system for keys low C to high Bb.

Raoux horns are synonymous with Aubrey and Dennis Brain. These were the horns of choice for many a player in the late 19th and early 20th Century, and came from a horn making dynasty that dates back to the 18th Century.
This instrument is a Millereau, Rue D’Angouleme so most likely dates from the late 1880s or the 1890s. It plays very freely and was loved by previous owners – the patches attest to its having being well used. It has hand engraved initials from a previous owner and is marked as being supplied by A.W. Gilmer & Co, a company based in Birmingham until is closed in the early 20th Century.
It comes with a Webb coupler system to allow the instrument to play in all keys from low C to high Bb.
Pitched in A=430Hz it is perfect for use with classical period ensembles. It comes with a shaped hard case with crooks in envelopes.
