Lacquered yellow brass
Out of stock
This set of Wagner Tubas are made by Alexander. 3 of the tubas date from the early 1980s and 1 is from a slightly later date. They have been used since new by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Modifications have been made to suit the individuals who played each instrument such as the removal or addition of thumb rings and finger hooks. This set also comes with an extra set of leadpipes. They are currently fitted with some older leadpipes with the aim of replicating the sound quality of the orchestra’s previous set of tubas. This set of tubas has also been used in recordings and broadcasts by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Overall, this set of Wagner tubas is in very good condition with a little loss of lacquer due to the change of leadipe and other modifications. They come with their original Alexander cases.
